This piece was a gorgeous, antique unit with perfect glass doors and minimal wood damage. The finish to the wood had obviously been abused over the years and there was discoloration and scratches on the wood. To finish this piece I used a base coat of Country Chic Elegance, General Finishes Pitch Black Glaze and a top coat of General Finishes Polyurethane in Satin. The glaze tones down the blue of the elegance and creates a beautiful, dimensional grey. The topcoat is added for long lasting durability.
